Keeping the postie busy this week!
This is the Accurate Miniatures ( since defunct ) model re-issued by Academy, nicely detailed, with a small PE fret, and most importantly a set of masks for the big greenhouse canopy. Nice discount, as well!

It’s actually ,cd.uk I’ve only got about another 200 that are wrong :disappointed: I’ve ordered some more but this time I asked them to send me proof, they made the same mistake, they have redone them on this next shipment, but that’s the problem buying from China, things get lost in translation.

I used to play the SF wargame AT-43, and one of the armies in it has figures that are HUGE compared to the others. It turns out the Chinese factory that made them took the dimensions on the drawings supplied to them by the French company that produced the game, to be in inches rather than centimetres (I can just imagine them saying to each other, “These foreigners all use those funny inches, don’t they?”)

I bought this in Hobbycraft recently thinking it might come in useful for cutting masking tape for camouflage paint masks on smaller scale aircraft, sometimes the fuzzy edge with white tack worms doesn’t seem in scale.

So as our all too short golf season draws to a close it was time to stock up for the winter building season. BTW if anyone else is a golfer here, best round of the season.

Yes that is a 1 under back nine.

Ok now as some of you know I like to sculpt my own busts but I thought it was time to try something more professional so this little beauty called out to me from El Greco miniatures. "With it or on it" if you know what I mean.

Next for figure fun these 28mm chaps seemed like something to have fun with.

I have never tried a wingy thing but I have to say this must be the Stug of the air. Very cute and ugly at the same time so it had to be added for a new experience.

Finally if it all goes pear shaped then I can always blow it away with this.

Seems like every time I like something is a relic and its out of production but luckily I managed to put my hands on one ! In my eyes is probably the most iconic ww2 kit ever made ! Im sure you guys recognise the picture! There was 2 company made it I have the warriors version! They were quite similar one version the jaguar one had an extra piece of roof! So the 2 company are jaguar models.. the beginning of a new end... and warriors.. the fall of berlin! Im not sure which company made it first! Anyway im over the moon and feel super lucky to have one! Best regards Danny

A little bit of a story for the picture as the Russian army conquered Berlin the Russian soldiers weren’t allowed to looted anything but they did ! So the soldier holding the leg of the guy who is waving the flag his wrist is visible and were multiple stolen watches was on his hand! So the Russian didn’t want the whole world to see that they are thiefs and the picture was edited to cover this up so it’s only one watch left on his hand! Thanks regards Danny

Look on the section .... taking the photo and see the original one with the watches![/QUO

I'm closing this thread now, it's been going since 2010 and has got a bit too big for people to look though, I've started a new one here and we will try and remember to start a new one every year
