    needing help

Hi folks I'm needing some assistance with scale. I have been working on a 1/32 A10 problem is there's not much in the way of ground crew, someone here put me on to figures that would have been perfect but they are sold out, so i have ordered a few 1/35 figures that might do but am concerned with the scale issue. Can they be used without the dio looking out of place?

A figure is going to come out at 6 or 7 inches shorter in 1:35 scale, OK if you're modelling jockeys :smile1:

An average height of five foot six in 1/35 is around 1,88 inches in 1/32 scale he is going to be around 2 Considering that real people come in all shapes and sizes, as do figures (tamiya, Mini art, Bronco figures in 1/35 are all different heights and stature). If you can find the figures you need from the one maker you should be OK or so I would think.

Oddly enough I was in this same quandary myself recently.

According to my "back of a beer mat" calculations a person my height (1.72 metres) would be 4.6mm shorter in 1/35 compare to 1/32. His real height would apparently be reduced to 1.57.

The difference in scale height is less than 1/4 inch in old money and I decided to go with it only to find what I wanted in the correct scale.

I'm looking at two 1/32 scale figures now, standing beside a 1/32 aircraft and I'm quite sure that if they were 1/35 scale instead nobody would be able to tell.

Mixing figures in the two scales might make the difference more visible.

          Cheers

          Steve
