No not sad at all Funky. Follows closely the 18 months since I started.

One thing I find is that at the end you see all the very small niggly parts you are furious about. But then by magic I look after it has been on the shelf a few days & they have all gone & stand there thinking I did that. Great feeling.

I do all the things you guys have mentioned - especially the time spent reading instructions and fondling (Yes - all right! I do fondle them and I'm not ashamed to admit it!) the sprues thinking about the build/paint process.

I also get a real kick out of getting those bargains from ebay or the shows I visit. I've already got a stash I couldn't build in two lifetimes but it's still growing! Last week I took advantage of the Modelzone sale:

1/72 Revell Apollo Command Module RRP £34.99 - cost £7.99

      1/40 Revell M48 scissor bridge RRP £19.99 - cost £3.99

      1/35 Revell Jaguar Raketenjagdpanzer RRP £27.99 - cost £4.99

One day - real soon I hope! - I'll start getting my kicks out of actually finishing things I'd be happy enough to show on here!
