i just googled "clear cast resin" and that is the first site i came across. ah...yes barry it has all those uses but...

now this is where i heard about it and why i did a search in the first place! :

and according to this person it can be coloured with acrylics (which will obviously save money on pigments for it)

          Small nuts and bolts etc.

This one is thanks to Greyhead-

For very small nuts / bolts (down to 16BA) and other things try:

          “ITEMS” MAIL ORDER LTD.

          46 St Martins Road

          North Leverton

          Retford

          Nottinghamshire

          DN22 0AU

          Tel. / Fax. 01427 884319

Unfortunately they don’t have a web site but the service is excellent, they accept credit card and it’s usually next day delivery.

            Small screws.

Alan2525 suggested for small BA screws etc-

Try http://www.kentscale.co.uk/ they sell BA screws in most sizes down to 14 and the prices seem reasonable too.

              Federal Standards chart colours FS595

Not so much about materials this time, but a jolly useful chart that gives the full range of Federal Standards colours to spec FS595.
