i was just looking through the members section and couldnt believe that i have only been a member for 2weeks today.

it seems like i have been a member for alot longer than that!

i think its due to the friendliness of the members.

the help i and many other people recieve is in-valuable and scale-models must be the best web-based community i have ever been part of.

I have found that though many visit and ask one question! We seem to then get a person who really clicks! Not only with the forum but with the members as a whole. These people prove to be a valuable source of info and experience in many different fields, they also bring a new found sense of enjoyment , motivation and commitment to our club. Anyway mate you are one of these peeps so thanks from me and the rest of our gang

Can only say a BIG thanks for the feedback and I really am glad you are enjoying your stay with us on here, thats why I joined, all very friendly and a great place to exchange ideas as you both have done too, That's what it's all about and it helps keep this hobby alive.

Hopefully you will stay longer and we can all benefit from each other's wisdom and good ideas..this is the place for it !!!

And as for your last question Richard, I became a Moderator within a very short period of joining, but I do have a real love for this Hobby and am pretty much an all rounder, even down to the trains which I used to do before going over to R/C Models. Yes I still do plastic kits too when I get the time....I have a shed load to finish yet lol.

At one time I used to build R/C Planes by the shed load but I would never fly them myself, I would build them and paint them up to perfection and balance them out ready for flight and I used to enjoy seeing their maiden flights and it was only then after doing a few that I realised I was missing out on the best part of the hobby...now I fly all my models first !!! Same applies now for any models that I do be it cars, boats or planes. Only me flies My Helicopters though !!!!

***Nigel,this is interesting,there have been forums that I made a single posting and got flamed and never been back again,I like to think that everyone here whether they make a single posting or a few dozen all get treated with the same respect they deserve,to me no question is mundane or silly,experience only comes from asking questions,we all have to start somewhere,and there lies the success of our lovely little forum.

Over the past few months we have seen a real input from our new members with their many and varied interests here,those interests build up into an internet book of invaluable knowledge to cherish and put to practical use.

Another thing that I think is instrumental in this success story is that we not only talk about modelling,the jokes,captions and general raport all add to that fun factor,bravo.
