Welcome Jerry, not a subject I have ever tried tbh, but always good to take a look at what others do. -
Thanks for the tips on 1/12 car kit suppliers. I will keep hunting. Meng do seem to do quality kits so i'll have a careful look at them. The Ford GT40 also looks interesting.
I found the Fiat 806 Grand Prix kit particularly difficult. Only my second model car so struggled to know best way to go about the build. I have put together a video and placed on youtube in case anyone is interested. A bit of fun really. Whilst it is placed privately you are all welcome to have a look. The video link is https://youtu.be/zhFrQQK91zQ
It is my first video on Youtube so excuse the odd quirks. I am however amazed at the HD quality that you can place on Youtube. I found the design of the Fiat 806 incredible for its age. The lowered sump of the engine below axles to lower the centre of gravity and things like the steering wheel design that you can look through for the instrumentation; features that continue to be used today on cars. Hope you enjoy it.😀 1👍 1Leave a comment:

In a local model shop today and noted that Revell also do a lot of car kits, no idea if they are any good or not though....Leave a comment:

Hi and welcome, nice looking kits you have made there, very nice.
I have always fancied doing the big Airfix Bentley kit, in British Racing Green obviously, but I have no idea if its a good kit or not?
Tamiya do some really nice bike kits (1/12th etc) and I think they do some cars too, they generally have a good reputation.Leave a comment:

A warm welcome from me too as a fellow car modeller although I usually tackle 1\24 scale. You will find us a slightly whacky but friendly and non judgemental bunch who will have an answer for any questions you may pose.
Just starting on my first 1/12 kit - a Trupeter/Magnifier Ford GT40 from Le Mans 1966. Not a bad kit if a little simplistic in places.
If you get such a great result from Italeri kits, which are hit and miss in my experience, you can build anything with a pleasing outcome, particularly like the Stratos.Leave a comment:
