I feel your pain Tony. Hate it when this happens after so much time spent on a model. Good luck with the touch up. Im sure it will come out looking great.

Touched up the masking problem ok and got the undercarriage and doors glued on . Next problem - I didnt anticipate this being a tail sitter but the surprisingly forward angled main undercarriage legs and the large tail means its now sat down like a spaniel begging for a treat ( other dog breeds are available , im partial to a cockerpoo or whippet actually )
Anyways its a bugger so how to address this ? I have a cunning plan as baldrick used to say !Comment

Drill a hole in the (underside of) the nose, put some lead shot in, then plug it back up and paint over it?Comment

So how to solve the tail sitting issue ? I had the idea that as I had still to attach the two drop tanks , i could fill the front end with enough lead to keep the nose down . I used fish tank plant weight , cut into tiny strips and inserted through a slot cut into the top of the tank . The slot being covered up by the pylon after fitting. The lead was fixed with superglue squirted in through a drinking straw , heated and stretched to form a thin spout .This did the trick and after the tanks were fitted there was no evidence of the surgery , and it now sits on its nosewheel.Comment

Great result Tony, neat ways to tackle the issues with the decals and being a tail sitter:thumb2::thumb2:.Comment
