You can say that again, they just beyond me I'll leave them to the experts.

Thanks for following along Rick the mark on the roof doesn't show now the primer on,as for the rest of it, it's nothing special that anyone else could have done.

Hi Bob will do just ordered lots of different shades of grey from John to try and add different contrasts/ shadow/shades to help with the overall look and to try and improve my painting ability.

          Morning Pete.
Your very well organised on the bench, enjoying the paint tests immensely.

Hi back to the test vehicle, got some different greys for Christmas so started by painting four different coloured prime's on to white card three being Stynylrez Grey, White, Black the fourth one is Mig One Shot Brown Oxide.
I've then painted ten different shades of grey across each primer to see if there was any difference there is some.
The main thing is I can see all the colors together and now can choose and go from dark to lighter IE top to bottom also from the sides, wheels to inner lower hull to try and cause shading/shadow.

            Paints and test card.

Test card, primers on the left and coming across the ten Vallejo Model Colour used it's the colour not the actual finish I was after, all done with her stick.

Thanks for stopping by, how to choose the paints and paint the tank.
I will be doing the same test with Greens and DAK colours just to see.
            Pete.

Nice work Pete and it looks like you have your work cut out for you with all the paint experiments. Can't wait to see the results and how she looks with a coat on her......

              Prost

Hi Allen thank you for looking in, a bit of work but wish I'd done this a long time ago, you can see what the real colour actually is going to be. I thought it was about time I at least tried to improve my painting ability, this might work it might not, it's only an experimental piece now and something to do when waiting, the build I'm building is the Titanic.

Cheers Steve been toying with it for a while, better late than never, then all I've got to do is to learn to paint.

Hi thought I give these one more go as I had a second set which need a lot less work, shame I don't pick up this set first.

Hi I chose these as the four different shades of grey as the base colours so out with the hairy stick and splash some paint on.
                            991-Wheels.
                            836-Inner Lower Hull.
                            900- Vertical/ Sides.
                            992- Top Surfaces/Horizontal.
It's only the first go trying this and I'm very happy with it once the weathering on most will probably be lost.
I'm going to try and lighten some of the top surfaces ie center of the hatches/ panels with a lighter shade next.
