Bob's Tamiya 1/35 Das Reich Hummel. Normandy front (AAGB)

    After all

I will be doing my best to ruin the new Tamiya Hummel, using a Tamiya metal barrel and Echelon Decals for a Hummel of the 2nd SS Panzer division Das Reich in Normandy.

spure shots, looks to be yet again another superb Tamiya kit, crisp detail and those plans to die for!

does not look to dirty but I would assume very dusty

Now do I have a first bash at a Dio with figures, the ones in the kit look very good or like the Marder on its own, looks like I can leave the mud at home lol

    thanks bob

    Hi Bob
That looks good :thumb2: I had to Google Hummel to find out how this fitted the GB.

A cracking model to build Bob. Really looking forward to seeing how you tackle the painting and building stages

Nice Bob, now be careful you don't turn it into a StuG.

              Off we go :tongue-out:

Made all the wheels etc which have poly chaps (I Like) and the suspension and a lot of the hull, started on the interior

The next step is the tracks with built in sag

              Hope it passes muster

Hi Bob very nice choice, got the wheels all done and out the way, You've got to love those poly caps so simple but useful, wheels on, wheels off.
                Good luck with the tracks.
                Pete .

                      Afternoon all

Thanks Pete always liked the poly caps great help
                      Si, so far no problems:upside::upside:

Steve, always used metal ones or rubber band. But on the marder i fitted the link ones in place but had problems painting them in place so,

Having a go in the morning at doing the link and length tracks so they can be removed in two parts to paint, all new too me. Been on youtube so hopefully know what to do, honest. will be handy for those magic tracks as well

Started on the gun and its a kit by itself! Very detailed.

                        Bob

Are you ok? I'll accept it has a fixed superstructure but unless I'm much mistaken that is not a Stug....!?!?!?!?! :fearful: :tongue-out3: Although I'm sure you can find a tenuous link!!

Not a Stug, my god those visor lenses really need cleaning lol

I built a Marder and enjoyed building it so thought build another self propelled vehicle. But most of all there is no bl**dy animal called a Stug and i crashed google looking for one lol
