This looks like a nice kit and you are doing a grand job on it. Odd that the rear of the bomb bay was so off.Comment

Very nice Jim, keep it up as I'm one, well a couple of steps behind . Don't think my Matchbox has exhausts like that or was the the Citroen

Thanks again for your kind comments.
It's a bit too hot to do much at the bench but some progress has been made. The nacelles and wheel bays in the wings were painted and weathered.
Last bits fitted and a dry fit. Once again perfect - the fit on this kit couldn't be better.
Tail planes fitted perfectly
Top and bottom wing parts clamped but no fit issues
...... and nacelles glued in place. Also the wing tips.
I continued with the bomb bay correction. No big deal. Externally the detail was removed.
Internally detail removed and two small squares filled.
All I can say is this kit is a real credit to Airfix in all respects.

Mike and Andrew - thanks guys :thumb2:
So in between life and the ridiculously hot spell this Mossie is at the paint stage. All masked up using the aftermarket masks and some masking fluid. Airfix actually supplied styrene masks for the wheel wells - nice touch.
Next I'll prime with Stynylrez grey. I'm planning a mainly metallic finish but these planes, in Israeli service, were pretty beat-up so I hope the grey will give a more faded look than the standard, recommended, gloss black base coat.Comment
