This looks like a nice kit and you are doing a grand job on it. Odd that the rear of the bomb bay was so off.

Very nice so far - I hope I don't misidentify the stubs once I get started on mine!

Thanks again for your kind comments.
It's a bit too hot to do much at the bench but some progress has been made. The nacelles and wheel bays in the wings were painted and weathered.

Last bits fitted and a dry fit. Once again perfect - the fit on this kit couldn't be better.

I continued with the bomb bay correction. No big deal. Externally the detail was removed.

All I can say is this kit is a real credit to Airfix in all respects.

I've struggled a bit more than Jim I think but that is my lack of experience but I too think this is a great kit and certainly very well engineered thought out. It's a real pleasure to build.

Mike and Andrew - thanks guys :thumb2:

So in between life and the ridiculously hot spell this Mossie is at the paint stage. All masked up using the aftermarket masks and some masking fluid. Airfix actually supplied styrene masks for the wheel wells - nice touch.

Next I'll prime with Stynylrez grey. I'm planning a mainly metallic finish but these planes, in Israeli service, were pretty beat-up so I hope the grey will give a more faded look than the standard, recommended, gloss black base coat.

Managed the grey primer yesterday and today I used Stynylrez white on the areas where the yellow and black identification stripes will be and also the red on the tail and the props. I'm not looking forward to spraying either the yellow or the red - both colours I find difficult.
