Thought so, but very hard to get info about how to stain the wood deck correctly, Lifecolor do a set of liquid pigments and some say to use pigments as well but what colour and method??
I have bought a cheap wooden deck, which i will stick to plastic card, varnish and then use to experiment withComment

Hi Bob
Could you use actual wood stain? Ok you couldn't varnish it first 'cause the stain needs to soak in. THIS is water based and they do tester pots. Might be worth a go  Being water based you could perhaps dilute it with water for a lighter effect.

They do teak, might be worth a go!Comment

Been very busy sorting out Julies dad s funeral, and still loads to do, the house looks like a florist!!
But this morning finished the decks
Did not experiment on this as i do not want the main decks to look different to the other decks
As my first go at wooden decks, i think it looks ok BUT too dark. I do like the tonal variation though.
Thats why i have bought the practice deck, so next time should look more realComment
