G'day JR, no verbal abuse from me pard......looks to me you have been well abused by those track links already. The load bed is very nice, should add a lot to the finished product. Rick H. :thumb2:

A perfect piece of advertising with the box art. Parts like the engine were great to build, probely the first chassis I've done that has been square, but from then on the tracks are a silly catch to up the parts No.
More skilled my find the instructions ok, but to me they needing to change the way they explain how and where.
Unfortunately I have several more kits in the stash !
Looking splendid astride her BSA 500CC c/w the side car. which I'm reliably informed carries the last long needle syringe:anguished:
The load bed will be enhanced once its been set on fire !
Thanks Paul, all a bit much for me I'm afraid apart from that engine and cab.Comment

Quick up date,
Had a quick check on if the cab would fit, no the fuel tanks get in the way ! They are now removed, after all that work doing the fuel lines , still with them out of the way its ok.
Realising the front wheels were still not on I found the two connectors and promptly lost one ! Depending on how I feel when I come to fitting the tracks It could go either way.
A find a piece of sprue, glue that on, and then fit the wheel.
B sweep the floor again.
C Leave the wheel off along with half of the track.
Also had a quick check on the load bed.
Slightly out on the cross members will look at that tomorrow, and need some tidying up, not much as its going to be burnt.
Notice of combustible dealing will be posted in good time to allow Andrew to have a front seat.
Lastly those tracks.
I remember well when Dave kindly told me what I needed to get , this is the only way to get them anyway near straight. Also found if you remove one of those locating pins the tracks can line up much better.
In case any one is wondering about the lengths shown, you need 4 x 27, then the fun going around the drive and idler. Will cross that point when I get to it !
Thanks for looking in.

Well Andy it will be slight less intense than before, manly due to complains from management about setting the top of the freezer on fire:smiling3:
Who me, surely not.:smiling3::smiling3::smiling3::nerd:

Just removed very carefully those tracks on the bar, guess what, yes some fell apart. The rest can be fitted on to the model no and the attempt to do the curved will follow. Bit of masking up to do as I don't want to ruin that engine.
Matron has just turned up and is sitting in the kitchen having tea, better go .Comment

Hi John
Shame the fuel tanks had to go. I think the more you "mess with" a kit the more fit problems you get. You sort of put one thing right and then find that has thrown something else out. How people like Steve, Mike, Scottie and Jakko cope I just don't know :rolling:
Load bed looks nice and the tracks seem to be going ok.
You mentioned FIRE!!! It's fun, fun, fun all the way :tongue-out3:

Tonight has NOT been fun, far from it.
Tracks, regardless of using a slow glue for the curve they just don't fit.
Unfortunately plastic tracks and I just don't get on.While I admire those of you that seem to sale through gluing and fitting, they just put me off from modelling.
Now it looks like the other side will be as bad so the only thing now to save this becoming a farce is to show the model as a wreak , with fitters about to save the engine. Yes there will be fire damage to the load bed, perhaps a road wheel blown off and a smashed up track.
Sad as it is, I just can't manage these tracks, and quite seriously I'd like to see one built and how they managed it .
As soon as I've got a little further with the bed and cab fitting it can be masked up and sprayed.
Then the real fun, the diorama and the fire :smiling::smiling::smiling::nerd:Comment
