        Wow, this looks a very big project. I will watch with interest. Last time I built a ship was out of cardboard when I was about 13. Back in the day when money was short but cardboard boxes at the local shop were a plenty..

          an build an ive just laid on the plans to see if ive cut the main R-shaft the right height to the plans an it seems ok an the yellow the gear if now fitted on upside down so that it turns the rear height finder radar the right way as that clockwise Click image for larger version

                  I have vivid memories of me carrying it around to show my gran who at the time lived just around the corner from my parents house. It must have been at least 3’ in length (that would be in 13 year old eyes size) but it was definitely big.
                  I was very artistic as a child and was always building models or drawing, something that I’ve not really done since until recently anyway. Anyway, I’m rabbiting on and going off topic regarding your super model but I can certainly appreciate the enthusiasm involved.

                        Carl you can rabbit on all you like as its nice to talk as ive only spoken a few words to the missus all day as ive been up in my man cave buildin this an she has been out in her garden an she has only just came in an i bet you was proud of your ship wernt you what was it eg warship or some other ?
