                Most of the bits now primed. will need to go over the missile launch tube again to remove the black line;

                  The next step 's ( :smiling5: ) called for masks to be cut out from the instructions and attached to the uprights to allow the correct placement of steps and lifting lugs;

                  So I photocopied the page and created the masks;

                  These were then blue tacked in place and a primer coat sprayed from the can over the top and when removed i had placement maps. This way i didn't risk getting plastic cement or superglue on the paper masks and not been able to remove them later;

                        Scottie, they were not that bad two ends bent ro form attachment points Step bent 90 degrees and the sides just bent round onto the foot plate.some needed a drop of glue to persuade them to stay put though.

                          Primed the dome in tamiya white primer and the top of the missile tube. Drilled out two holes, one for a missile gone and one for a missile been launched. Brassin 1/32 sidewinders on order.Checked the shed as I was starting to sort out the mess and no XF-85 so now on order

                            Brassin 1/32 sidewinders have arrived, and are a perfect fit for the 1/35 RIM missiles fired from the tube launchers
                            Will be held on a piece of plastic card, fins will be added and reshaped along with the seeker dome

                              Great work Steve on an unusual kit. The photo etch makes all the difference although I suspect it will be the launching missile that will gain the immediate attention once finished.
                              Top stuff
