All finished the 1st planking let the sanding commence 😂 measured the hull and am pleased with the overall shape so just a little filler and sand before the second planking.

I'm terribly late in joining this distinguished rabble; I'll hang my hammock in a corner and watch silently your impressive work.

the rear gallery is going together really well proving this is a quality kit (time will tell)

Wow, that planking looks like a huge time consuming job, the model is looking very nice, well done cheers

Brian. If you're on FaceBook!! There is a group called 'HMS Victory Modellers Group' (believe it or not. May prove to be a useful source of hint tips or info.

Looks like a propper hull now!
Is there just the one layer of planking? I know some have a second 'finish' layer.

I don't really Bri. I have no friends and only use it to view a couple of groups I am interested in. Westland Helicopters and HeliOps Groups which have some good pics of ---- yes you guessed it - Helicopters!!

Bit of an update, haven't been at the model table this week as I have had to sort out the living room floor (post kitchen flood) the whole lot has to come up including the sub floor then re screeded and a new floor fitted, luckily my insurance company has picked up the tab and work starts tomorrow.
Looking at a week before the work is completed then I can concentrate on the Victory :)

Managed to get back to the model table for an hour or so, a little progress made :)

Just caught up on this one Bri, and some sterling work going on, so now I’ve pulled up my chair so I don’t miss anymore.

Excellent progress and looks very neatly done too. You're doing it quickly as well but I bet that things will slow down as you get to the more fiddly and intricate stages.
