So heres my entry for the injection free gb

Its a sort of music box come wooden kit

5 A4 sized 'sprues' of lazer cut wood and a clockwork motor to power it and the little music gizmo.....and its also lit with leds

Now ive opened the box ive seen theres a couple of plastc bits....cover on the clockwork motor and the batery box for the leds.....but i hope im allowed that as its unseen inside the box

Honestly dont think this is going to take long.......the bit ive done only took 20 minutes and i was dragging it out lol Click image for larger version Name:	20241010_183941.jpg Views:	0 Size:	288.0 KB ID:	1236165 Click image for larger version Name:	20241010_184114.jpg Views:	0 Size:	436.1 KB ID:	1236166 Click image for larger version Name:	20241010_191043.jpg Views:	0 Size:	299.3 KB ID:	1236167

That's definitely something different. Is it finished with varnish or paint?

The base is done....clorkwork motor etc is hidden inside

Usual paint pot so you can gauge the size of the thing

Bigger than I imagined. I see what you mean about the Christmas theme.

The wheel done

hardest bit so far....had to align 18 pegs almost simultaneously and it dosnt lie flat cos of the centre peg that it rotates on.....ended up cutting a small hole in the box to make a temp jig so it could lie flat and spin to each peg......easy peasy then 20241012_131403.jpg

Paul,
Nicely done sir looking very effective 👌. As for having a Christmas theme, it is the next big holiday and the GB will run through it so why not I say 😉. Do like the gondolas, nifty bit of work to get them aligned 👍.

Comming together fast Paul, the corners of the box are bended I suppose? Did it take much force or was the material very flexible? Have fun, cheers 🎡

the wood is a 3 layer plyboard.......where the corners are the laser cutting has almost made it like a honey comb so its very flexible......no force needed at all

That's good. Looking forward to the video.

Nicely done!

I got a laser cut plywood pergoda from missus Miko a while ago, made an interesting distraction, it now stands on my 'kamidana'

Miko (. . . insert witty remark here)
