Cheerio guys

Oh wow, really!
As above, don't leave just cos of one person (I'm assuming its one?) have a few days off and then come back.
Plus, tis the T'internet, and if I've learnt one thing its that there will always be haters and keyboard warriors, no matter what you do/say...
If they have a problem, its just that, eg: THEIR problem.... so just let them jog on mate.....
Cheers

I'm not privy to the opening elements of this discussion but I'm with the other guys - don't go mate, take a little rime for reflection and delight us once again with your excellent productions! (PS I sincerely hope it wasn't some flippant comment or other that I made ... )

I don't know what has happened but I will just echo the others. You're a valued member of our community, your builds give pleasure and inspiration to others. So have a think and please stay.

Don’t know what’s gone on either mate but don’t leave.

I’d echo what the other chaps have said in that you are a valued member and will be missed if you go.

Geoff.

I missed the initial unedited post you made Richard, but I can see from other comments that you may have received negative or nasty comments from someone.

Like the others, I enjoy seeing your work. That Phantom is coming along really nicely, and you're obviously passionate about it. John or a moderator can help you to block the perpetrator, or you can block them yourself in your settings. It's not worth giving in to a d****ead, enjoy your modelling and the forum, on which the vast majority are good people.

I hope to see the Phantom build progress and your cheerful posts.

Joe

Going by Richard's comments on his initial post, it reads like it was something to do with him being seen as not contributing much on other member's builds.

Why should he if he had no interest in the type of model?

Also, perhaps folks should ta take more heed and be careful just what they type........ Innocent comments can so easily be misinterpreted through the written word.

Like many others I haven't got a clue whats gone on and didn't see Richards unedited post. Very sad to see someone leave in what appears to be distasteful circumstances. Wishing you all the best Richard and hope you reconsider your decision to leave.

Well i thank you guys for your comments.Im not going to tittle tattle and mention names. What i will say is that because i like to encourage and take an interest in many models i see i was told i was creeping up to people and feigning interest in others work.I am interested in many models and your builds inspire me and help if mojo is flagging.I had fair share of abuse online when i did my figures.Because i had a Facebook page it attracted all sorts as my contact details were available. And when we were subjected once to blackmail because they got my G mail its not pleasant at all. Some kind person said to me it seems the nicer people seem to attract the abuse it seems and please dont change.

Nooo Steve. You have never offended me ever. You have always been supportive with my figures etc.I will linger around but might not always comment so much.

Sorted!

Richard. Great to have you back in the fold - I hope so, anyway.

Let's get back to peacefully making models, eh?

Good for you Richard. By staying put you have shown you are the better person. The vast majority will be pleased with your decision.
The internet is a wonderful thing and I honestly believe that it does far, far more good than bad. Sadly there are people out there who use it to spread hatred and misinformation. To boost their own egos by belittling others. To contact others of a similarly warped mind to their own. Sadly some decent people are affected by these disfunctional individuals. By staying put you have risen above the nastiness and shown you're better than them.
