Heres one I finished a few weeks back but didnt bother with a build log as its one ive done before. Its the superb Airfix 1/72 mk1 -Early fabric winged , two bladed prop , finished in Belgian air force markings circa 1938. I didnt bother with any weathering as this aircraft and most of the Belgian air force were probably wiped out soon after the war started so it wouldnt have had the chance to get mucky . Very nice Tony 👍

It look very striking with those Belgian markings 😎

Geoff.

An unusual take of a very well known aircraft. That's a fine model.

Very nice

I always think its great to see something in markings which are diffetent

Great result Tony. Classic aircraft to which we owe so much.
Thanks guys , it was a joy to build and I had to do the Belgian markings , dont think ive ever seen one done , they always seem to be RAF . The only thing I added were seat belts and I replaced the solid nav lights with clear sprue .

Beautiful, Tony. You are right about the Belgian Hurricanes not getting a chance to get grubby. Your one was destroyed along with the majority of others, on 10 May 1940.

Thanks a lot joe ,and thanks for the link , very interesting reading. One thing I noticed though is the pic of H-22 shows the later three part ejector exhausts , whereas Airfix tell you to use the early type. The later ones are included in the kit so I could have used them , never mind . Cheers tony
