Next one for this GB is the Cutty Sark..... 1/350 by Academy

Cutty Sark was one of the last tea clipper ships...... Designed for speed rather than how much cargo it could carry........ Get the new harvest of tea as fast as possible to britain to get the best price was the name of the game

Ships aint my thing so this will be a challenge even though it looks a basic kit........ So basic there isnt even a call out for paint!..... Need to do a bit of research lol

Well that looks good mate, will you be doing rigging as well? Lol....
I'm sure I built this ship, but possibly the Airfix version, in a smaller scale, way back when, and did not do a good job of it, I know the rigging caught me out, but I was only about 10 or 12, so?

Erm, yes

The hull is about 20cm in length

Goodness me, I think I had this kit in the 1980s. There will be a lot of information out there on the Cutty Sark. The ship still exists doesn't it?

Yes, she's still in Greenwich, London. I had a fascinating tour of her some years ago. Have loads of photos if you need any.
