As promised an update hospital says nothing broken just a really bad knock to it swelling is the soft tissue. So ibuprofen strapped up and rest it as much as I can

well Done Katy good to know you went to hos an got your knee sorted now you can rest easy without any worry in case an infection got in your knee so yes now rest as much as you can as them car models wont go anywhere an we will still be here for when you are better an get back to your car builds but you may get a bit fed up but stick at restin your knee an have a nice day

I feel your pain. Damaged my right knee in October and it swelled right up. Doing the same treatment as you and a packet of frozen peas helps in reducing the swelling, heat pad for pain,
Drove for the first time since the incident today in my auto with adaptive cruise, auto braking etc. which was OK but made sure it was a short trip.
As you are much younger hopefully your recovery will be much quicker.
