If I buy a new kit of about the right size, so I can then use the box that comes in to send the one I've sold, does that count as clearing the stash?

Certainly, you've reduced your stash by one. . . . after adding one!

So, depending on your time reference, you could logically assert your last action was a stash clearance!

I waited for a delivery of some books from Amazon to see if the box was the right size, but it's too small. Nothing for it, I'll have to get an appropriately sized box by buying a new kit.

Now what to buy, so many choices.... I'm thinking something a little different, maybe a WW1 aircraft - although for me, a vehicle would be a change.

My wife even said 'oh just buy one, that way at least you get rid of the other one". Result!

In an ironic twist, the box they arrived in was too small anyway I found the right size one in the garage - my wife suggested I should send the models back. she's a funny one! Anyway, I believe John has a 'no returns due to false pretences' policy

My wife said,"I bought myself an extra set of PJ's, so if you want to buy another model, you can". Oops.

I had to admit that I already had, she thought I'd only bought one

"I did buy one, but there was another one stuck to it when it arrived." Strangely, that excuse didn't work.

Interesting that she seems to thinks you need her permission? Or do you have a deal going with her?
