Did some more work on my 1:200 Carpathia.

Installed the following:

Masts and most booms

Cat ladders to the masts.

Some of the davits have been installed

Most lifeboats positioned

I will continue installing before final paintwork. The rigging, name plates and railings will go on last.

HI James yes i am a boat nut lol an love building ships like you sir but my love is the grey funnel line eg warships as ive been scratch building them since i got med retired through a back injury at work in 1987 so i took up scrachtbuilding big warships for R/C an jioned norwich model boat club where there is a massive boating pond but now i just feel like a change to fast jet aircraft to light up but please sir big full size pics on your ship so we all can see the detail on them as they look great AN I WILL BE FOLLOWING YOUR SHIP BUILDS

Hey Chris, It's funny because I did get an itch to build the type 45 destroyer when it came out a few years back from airfix and remember as a kid getting a 1:350 george v which I loved building it but my heart always drew me to ocean liners. It is a shame that they are all but gone now but even the grey funnel line ships had a certain grace and originality about them you just dont see anymore. Even looking at the hms belfast on the thames, I got a sence of originality about it even in its heavily altered state. I have one in my collection to build which is a flower class corvette because it was the first irish navy fleet and the plan is to build it in Irish Navy attire. Six of them were purchased after ww2 from you folks across the water. I will of course be posting plenty of pics of this one, the carpathia is a rare one you dont see very often. Shame she is not around anymore, I would love a nice 14 knot cruise across the atlantic in her.
