Meng are turning out some great braille scale stuff at the moment
Nice one SI. I've also got that in the stash...and as you say looks very good indeed!
I bought 100 of the plastic pipettes from China. They were only a few pence each, so not worth cleaning if you need anything stronger than water.

Books
I do like these books for a good high level overview of what I'm building. Managed to pick this up second hand for below the original price (see below) and about 25% off the new price....and it's as good as new to be honest!
And another one from the series. Whilst the seam is a little bit worn, its only superficial and the inside is in very good condition and less than £7
£1 from a charity bookshop. In case you've not heard of this book, it's the wartime journal (kept against the rules) of someone who served with the Kings Own Scottish Borderers in NWE 44-45, which was published after his death. He was also a talented artist and they have included some of the pictures he did at the time.

Popped up on eBay....the last major Japanese plane missing from my stash......and then I realised I had points on the same sellers own website.....so 10% off!

The is a 1991 rebox (still sealed) of a 1965 Heller kit. Won in a charity raffle at a recent show.....£1!!
Despite the fit issues with my Indian version of this Mk XVIII kit, I really enjoyed it and the thought of doing a rocket firing Spit was too much! About 20-25% off what they normally go for new. Box was damaged in transit but inside all looks ok.
And you're not seeing double....this is the second one of these I now have. After my previous acquisition and my story about a friend who flew GR1s in the First Gulf War, I got offered this by @Neil here for the same price...and it came with the Brassin additional exhausts for free. So now I can do him another one!

Realised a bomber version of the Ju-88 was missing from my stash (I already have the C/Z version of this kit). About 1/3 off the usual price.

Been going into my local Lidl for last two weeks trying to get the Airfix special offer kits, the old vintage mould ones, but they've had none.......until today! So I bagged myself this little triple....
I know that everyone seems to be moaning about how bad the Gazelle and the Comet are, old moulds, poor fit, lots of flash, etc, etc.
But I thought what the hell, they are cheap, and I'm sure they will be fun to build anyway, even if they are not very good, they will make nice little "filler" models for me I'm sure.....
The Aston is apparently a good kit, so looking forward to that one, may just do it as per the kit, eg: just using the paints, etc in the box and see how it turns out... I actually have a really nice 1960's Corgi James Bond DB5 (#261) with all the secret agent bits, original box, even the inctructions, etc, I've had it for years (along with a similar age Corgi Batmobile (#267), so always have a soft spot for the DB5....

I'm about a quarter way through doing the comet....... By a long way it's the worst kit I've done in 20 years....... I've done kits by PM Models that are high tech in comparison..... I'm on the third round of fillering and I haven't even got the engines on!.... Only way to get the canopy to fit was to decapitate the 'pilot's..... Dreadful

Maybe I'll try a combo build, eg: stick the wings off the comet on the gazelle...... or summit! A franken build....I'm about a quarter way through doing the comet.......
