Good lord Mr B what a whopper.I was given an Airfix 1.24th Spitfire kit the other day which is started.Taxi driver friend got it at a car boot.Lord knows what i will do with it!!!!!.
HI Richard yes i was hopeing to get a 1/48 th scale in this kit just as well i dint an got a 1/72 scale as its as big as the hustler in 1/48th scale lookin forward to building it after ive built that big F16 that airborne sent me an will you build that big spity ?

Hi Chris.Doubtful i will build the Spitfire.It would have to hang from the ceiling.Did a 24th Focke wulfe years ago and that was a beast.

HI Bri yes i love big models as there is so much detail you can put on then which you cant do an smaller modeles unless you are a very good moddler which im just a avarage modeler but tryin to get better all the whileChris that's a monster you certainly liked building BIG models
CHEERS Tony well i dint hardly see her in flight as all i could see was a load of white smoke that came from the enginges an no way to photo her as by gum she was gettin a move on as she flew the feild lenght very quickly an when i found the main engine bay i found out the two engine dint fire so she flew on 4 only as the fuses dint ignite an i then after this distater i treid to fly a keil craft F86 SABER with a 2 foot wing span with a normal engine in an she was covered in tissue paper an all doped an me forgettin that its highly inflamerble an i forgot to put some tin foil on the plane near the engine to proteck the plane from the heat of the engine an got out my ciggy lighter an struck a flame an there was a WOOF as the plane blew up an at my feet on the ground there was a ash outline of a saber an regards that shrap collar my girl freind was always buyin me closthes to make me trendy even had long hair in a beatle style boy them were the days eh nice to look back an remember an jen also buys me my clothes an if i dont wear them i get that look lolThats fantastic chris , what an achievement , it looks brilliant . Although if you had wanted to build another one you could always have cut a few corners and used that shirt collar for the wings
HI Joe glad you like the kit an i'll build it in a few months just want to build an finish off this hustler an build that F16 which should not take long as its part built already the steve sent me an yes it was her idea for a dare if i remember rightly to say to me build it for me so i did but i was the only one there for the flight as to be honest i dint know if she would fly like she did an yes i had several girlfreinds back then an none of them seemed to mind me modelin as long as i took them to the disgo's back thenThe Italeri kit looks nice Chris. That scratch-built XB-70 is amazing, I bet you were proud of that before its fateful flight.
Also amazing that you had both a flyable XB-70 and a girlfriend at the same time in your 20s
