Egg banjo's - my type of music! Off patrol, kick the ch-gy, stuff your face and into the doss bag! A million years ago now ...They do indeed - and throw in coffee and the odd egg-banjo and you're all set!

British military slang for a fried egg sandwich..... Used in all three branches
The mud munchers also have an 'almost egg banjo' which is a hard boiled egg sandwich, since they have boiling vessels in their tanks and armoured vehicles

My uncle growing up used to call them that and it stuck. He was in the Green Jackets in the 70's/80's. I've also worked with a few ex-Army guys over the years that called them the same - and very nice they are too!
