Well, my RC range safety boat will never see water...well, not by me.

As it is large we moved some things from the side of the stairs and had it on a coffer under a cover.

I heard Jo telling him to get off followed by lots of 'OH NO!'.

He had jumped all over the top, broken masts, lighting all kaput. To say I was miffed was an understatement.

Anyway, another club member has always been interested in it so I contacted him and he has bought it from me, he will repair it and sail her.

He has tried to get around me by coming and laying in my arms...little so and so.

Hi Si
Pets !$%£*&^ ..... but we still love them and they do enrich our lives.

Quite a few years ago I finished a model and brought it downstairs to show the missus (to be honest though she has about the same interest in my models as I do in her historical dolls) I put it on the coffee table, sat on the settee and Belle, my collie cross, came over to see me with her tail wagging. Provide your own ending

That sounds an unusually friendly club... :smiling5:

The boat bit reminds me of the time I built a Tamiya PBR (the 1/35 scale Vietnam War patrol boat). I’d just sprayed it, and quite happy with the result, carried it in my hand from the shed back to my hobby room. For some reason, it slipped out of my hand and landed top down onto the concrete patio tiles … The cat bit, then, reminds me of when I found one of our cats asleep right in the middle of a diorama.

Sorry to hear about your safety boat Si,
Cats can be a real pain when you have models standing around :dizzy:

My cat past away last year but she would always hide herself in every box or building she could fit in

Hopefully your boat will be fixed soon :thumb2:

A few cats back I had a big bugger of a tom cat that was hysterical if you tried to put him in a transport box. (a bad memory of a trip to the vets). Anyway he got hurt one day and in the ensuing battle to catch and put in aforementioned cage, he hopped into a box and peed. Contents of the box The 1/72 scale corvette, HMS Blue Bell that was 90% finished. Its still in its box to this day. Bits of plastic and brass all over the place!
