Clean work as always Patrick very nice!

very nice weathering on the lower hull,the tracks look nice as well
like the colors you have used,


the brass schürzen,do look real good,but oh my 2 brackets for each hook,


great progress will be waiting for the next,

Not only 2 brackets per hook, but they're also slightly different sizes! My eyes are tired

Got some paint on this one. I'm using Ammo by Mig acrylics, the 3 bottle 1944-45 set.


I'm not convinced with the light green or the 'chocolate brown'; it looks too red for me.


But as someone who generally uses enamels, I'm impressed by these paints. 


Anyway here's the pics, next up is the gloss coat & decals

This is looking great and after putting on the decals and fixing those, i think the weathering will bring those colours together quit nicely.

I've given the model a gloss coat, added the decals & a series of pin washes. 


I guess I shouldn't be amazed by the difference such a simple step makes.... but I still am!  :$

Next is to get a matt coat down & start the chipping.

This jagdpanzer IV is really coming on. I've gotta say you very nearly tempted me into joining this group - it's a great subject.


Your build is looking real nice, clean build and nice etch schurzen - it'll really look the biz when complete.


with regard to the camo paint colours, for me the red brown look ok but the green looks a little on the light side -the dunkelgelb also looks a little dark and a little too pink (but that maybe lighting. Either way I wouldn't worry too much - weathering and fading will alter colours considerably anyway.


I've got a Dragon jagdpanzer IV L48  in the stash that I bought to complete as part of my 2nd SS Arnhem collection (a few did operate between Arnhem and Nijmegen). It's a kit from the same era as yours, I believe the only difference being the curved glacis sides. The Arnhem vehicles would have had Zimm applied so thats my plan for this vehicle.


This is looking really great Patrick and I look forward seeing it progress.

You should join in, you've got uuntil December all the peeps would love to see one of your builds on here again.


I think the colours are probably down to my quick picture taking, although the green is very light.


I couldn't be bothered with doing the zimmerit myself, it'd take me forever!

If I can finish the 2 DR1s I've been on with (seemingly forever now, although i think I've broken the back of the work now) I may just take you up on the offer and try and squeeze in a quick(ish) build. I'm building quite a few kits simultaneously at the mo but a couple are nearing completion and now that I have my work area sorted things should start to speed up a bit.


I'll keep dropping by to see yours and and the group's progress and hopefully I may have the time.


It is quite nice to have a GB with quite tight parameters as it makes one focus and concentrate on the subject at hand.

Really coming on Patrick.  Those Mig paints look better when weathered, in fact they are designed to be weathered and look too 'raw' on first spraying.  Keep it up, this is a real cracker.

Thanks Graham I always think the painting process is rather a leap of faith; things don't look quite right until its almost finished.
