Monica does metal, is there no end to her talents ?

Well, I don't know much about tanks, but I can see this is right up there with rest of your work. She looks great.

Great build so far Monica. I really like the stowage, I use modelling clay to make stowage sometimes but because it is basically a form of mud I think.. and gets very messy to deal with, is das clay the same?

hi,Bob,no das clay is some what firmer and dryer, and as you knead,it dose get softer, and easy to work, can roll it out to a thin.strip, and fold it ,

very nice to work with ad not messy at all, :D

wow monica. how did you make the bricks and arcs on the building?

much appreciated,Bob, :D so glad that your liking it so far,

I use depron, which is a foam sheet, they use for plane building, and you just use a gray lead to draw in the brick work, for this 1.35,I do the bricks at 4mm H x 7mm L, 9_9

still ,not as detailed as a miniart building, but I think I don,t do to bad of a job with my scratch work, :/

well time to have a brake, and watch some ,Tv,well that maybe sleep, :D

next is to get some color on it,and door,s window,s and other fitting, then start the detailing work, 9_9

no its not as good as a miniart but will,do when cast is low, o.O

hope you like the progress so far,

OOOO... I'm learning your secrets on scratch building Monica, how you use stiff cardboard for structure integrity and face it with foam, and how you layer the foam for depth where needed. Very clever indeed ;)  Also you are giving me an education on pre war European architecture. New interests in ones modeling are always a breath of fresh air and I am exited about bringing scratch "buildings" into my future scenarios and I thank you for that........Jim :)

well I,m pleased that you are picking up some building ways, with my building work,if you use the foam card, you don,t real need the cardboard backing as it will stand

rigid ,

you can cut the foam down or even use balsa cut down to size as well, but don't use a solvent, type glue,on it use like UHO,

I do enjoy making but some times think they lacking a little detail, than say miniart ones, :( ,what I do is look at pics,of building,

and just try to copy ,them the best I,can,

if I can help in any way ,Will do my best to give you some, and so glad that your liking it all so far, :D

Don't even think of comparing what you create with some stamped out plastic thingy (Mini-Art) what you do and the research you put in are what makes modeling an art. At this senior stage of my hobby life I myself would never buy one of those for I feel if I don't want to attempt the building myself then I won't have one in my dio. Never even thought of looking at images to try and recreate a certain structure.....see...I just learned from you again! :x .............Jim :)

so much very appreciated comments ,Jim,I do enjoy to make them, and once your done a few,

you get into a patten of work with them,so its quicker and easy to workout, 9_9

what I do is google, say Berlin streets 1943,or Polish streets,1941,along these,s lines, and look at the pic,s to see

which ones I think I,can get a good idea off,and work from there,if this is of any help,to you, :D
