Got this for the King Tiger GB next year. It's a re-box of the Dragon kit (6208) and a quick look shows nice, clean moulds with good detail. Apart from the individual track links, it looks a simple build.

I don't think you'd be disappointed Moni. I know it doesn't have the same details as some of the new uber kits but there's nothing wrong with it that I can see. I might just get some brass cable and the Eduard PE set for the grilles though. I'll see what I feel like when the build starts.

must ask my mate,Mark at spur finders if he has one,

that sounds like a good, idea with the grills,I must start adding in some PE,just makes them look a lot better, 9_9

for the cables I,buy cheap thin picture hanging wire, which works real well for cables, :D

Just got this huge box arrived from John at Scale Model Shop.  Been considering this since he got them in as I have wanted a big Bismarck for a while now.  Comes with wooden deck, brass gun barrels and sheets of photo etch.  No idea when I will start it but it will be at the top of the list when I get my bench set up again later in the year.

Very nice Graham

my problem is how to get past the ball & chain

Have it delivered to your works address?
Its a great kit. I have done two and there will probably be a couple more some time...

I get those a lot ....LOL
He tried selling me one as well but I opted out. Will enjoy watching the build. It is said to be a great kit and with the extra goodies..... Be aware of the decks and the Glue you use. I have read that they can dry/split/crack...

I do that sometimes but I bought this from my LMS...it's in my lock up with loads of other kits for the time being.

I will certainly be consulting the experts before the wooden deck goes on Ian. Quite looking forward to building up the subsections as they don't take up much space.  The hull and deck are another matter and will be the last things to worry about  :D

My latest addition to my stash will be cutting this to add 5mm extension so the wings line up correctly and trim the undercarridge legs as per reccomendations from numerous quotes from the web

Regards

Colin

Not a kit but I did have to put it together... A gift from Mrs.M who thought it might help counter the effects of sitting at the model bench for hours on end...View attachment 263756

We took it for a test ride today, My bum hurts! Been a while since I rode a bike!

Ian

Didn't know there was a group build this one has ambitious plans I want to foil it and display it in a vertical climb ala standard lightening scramble during the late 60's with afterburners on full millitary power
