well second, bear, very much easy ,than first to do,
to alter his head and ,neck, cut off drill/pin,then green stuff,to shape,
had a little play with doing fur,the camera helps,as it show,s more than your,
eyes pickup, and I can see need to do ,the fur a lot closer togeather, but give,s
me the right idea,

well hope you like the progress so far,;)

I really like the idea Monica, and some cracking work with the Bears.

ok I know you all ,are probably thinking what a mess ,or load of junk,
as I had to go out all day,it let the green stuff set, harden or what ever it dose,
so I was able to start to refine the shhape,of him, tonight when,I got home,
and placed his, head and made ,the neck a little stretch out, move into the possition,
in the oic,and still need to angle his hands as well,o_O
I think he is looking much better, and still a lot to do with them, both,
hope your liking it so far,;)

Could you use flock to simulate the fur Monica?

Pete

well some more done to these,s two guys,;)
maybe not the best looking things, but I think its working,as it dose,
give the look or fur,and add,s some death to them, can only do a bit at ,a time,or you flatten what your done already
well do hope you like them so far,
need to let dry,so more tomorrow morning,

I'd have used faux fur Monica. A thin mix of PVA glue & water would keep the pile looking in scale.

Now you have the 'shape' of the fur, some flock would give a more 'furry' finish than paint, surely? I'm sure I've seen some flock that has quite long fibres, a bit like static grass.

ta,Patrick,Pete, gives,me some think to research for next time,as its good to be able to have options, when doing things,;)

Just catching up with this one... What a fantastic photo, and a brilliant idea, Monica. Looks like it's coming along well, too.

ta,Doug, glad that you do find this one, interesting, that's what court my eye when I saw the photo,;)

I think that you are doing great with the green stuff. I fear that any form of flocking will turn them into fuzzy blobs.
A bit late now but there are some firms that make Polar bears as kids toys. Im not sure of the scale but think they are around 1/32 which is close enough.
Schelleer maybe. Not sure if they are out there in Oz yet.

ta Ian,very glad and happy that you do like them,so far,I got the idea of doing them this way from a mate,
who made some cyber monkeys ,from doc who,but only 28mm,and used a plain figure, which turn out well,
I did look for,1.35,ones,so hard to find any think, also the Schelleer,we get in the toy, shops and so on,but
to me were over size,so came up ,this way,had my mate dave,3D print them,45mm L x 40mm H,
I was kind of thinking the sane with the ,flock, but will have a google into it,;)

well an update with these,s two guys, almost done, some touch up work, needed in spots, ;)
over all ,I for a first I,m quite happy with them,
by taking a pic,I,can see were I,need to do some more work,on the fur ,before it dose set,
some times I,find the green stuff dose spring back,so you need to redo bits, once it starts
to harden,;)
well hope your liking them,
with the heads,as its resin,I mite use some ,acetone,to soften, then scribe in the texture
just thinking on the best way around it,or then again, maybe just use greenstuff,:confused:
