Great piece of work, war is brutal but you haven't gone over the top with it.

Thanks Mick, I try to keep the colors subtle and blended, lots of dark washing to give that sinister look.
War sucks and I've tried to show that.

Jim.

Hi Jim, nice realism on a terrain and time nearer to the end of the year that's wet and cold. :thumb2:
Do you have any in Spring or Summer in fields of green and wild flowers. It's always disturbing to see knocked out smouldering Shermans in places like these as it shows death can come at the most unlikely surroundings. The scenes in Normandy are always surreal...coming across dead bloating cows in a field probably killed by allied bomb blast or stray bullets from a fire fight in an adjacent field.

Thanks for sharing as it reminds us that war is ugly.

Cheers,
Richard

Thanks Richard, not much in the greenery dept. but these may interest you, one is knocked out in a country village setting and the other is hidden in dense undergrowth with some
vegetation embelishments for camo reasons.

Will think about using more veg in future, I especially like your idea of contrasting beauty and horror. When I get my dark on I do tend to descend deeply into it.
for example see last pic.

I'll ponder a scene such as a relic of a bygone tank battle now rusted and overgrown with natures flora.

Jim

Jim.
Think this is a stark reminder of what war is like. Most of us don't portray the nitty gritty like you, as Ive said before you do this so well.
I think Richards idea would be good, nice to see your take on that .
John.

Hi Jim
Beautifully done. You have the skill and the vision to portray the horror of war without the sensationalism.
Jim

great work with, these,s one,s Jim,I do so much enjoy seeing your work, and how you,
portray ,the after math of what has happened,in a dark way, butt not a horrible way,
well done, keep up the great builds,do look forward to them,:smiling::thumb2:
