Scottie, thanks bud

Colin, thanks, and like the way you put it 'being owned by a cat'...it's basically true indeed ^^

Hi John, thanks a lot gent...Only Amélie really understood, the other two don't really...though Julien (4) mentioned Mono is now with his uncle in heaven...but other than that the concept of death is still quite abstract to him, luckily ^^ And indeed, the puttypoe has no pain anymore that's what counts. Still quite odd, yesterday she was still enjoying a sunbath, today nothing anymore...I'm a 'carpe diem' person and things like that make me realise that you need to try and enjoy each and every day when possible :)

Hi Peter and Andy, thanks a lot fellas, means a lot. Andy: it was ok, luckily their still young

Cheers

Sorry to read about your loss Wouter. Like the picture of Mono in a Dragon box. It's never easy but you did the kindest thing for it. Hope you're ok with telling the kids.

Richard

sorry for your loss

as a cat daddy i can feel for you

i was always a dog person til my partner moved in and brought her old cat Tiff, she was so special to me as she converted me to a cat person. when her time came it really was hard. they are a member of the family. we have two now as it was so quiet with out a little furkid running around

when the time is right, go to a rescue centre and save a kitty in Mono's memory

i've just read this on your Facebook post,
So Sorry to hear of your loss buddy, having three of these pesky critters myself i fear the day when...well you know...

Hi Wouter, sorry to read about your loss.
Although I don't have a pet, I know they become a part of the family and their departure is always heartbreaking...
Take care

Fernando

Hi Wouter
Been thinking of you. Glad you and your wife managed to explain to the children without too much upset. Especially Amélie as she is of an age to understand.
Jim

Hi Wouter

So sorry my friend. I too was in that place 10 weeks ago today (5.55pm) when my stunning cat Felix passed away with the same cancer in the mouth. Cried is not the word! Although we still have 4 moggies he was by far my cat and his urn sits on my bench never far from me.

But last week we choose another moggie a rescue cat with a very sad story, he is at present hiding under my bedside cabinet! He comes out to eat and is a surperb hide and seek champion. Its my new project, get him to trust us then spoil him rotten. He will then realise that not all humans are scum

So take your time and get another one to love!

Regards to the family

Sorry to hear that. Leaves a cat-shaped hole in your heart doesn't it.
At least you know that you've saved her from further pain.

Pete

Sorry for your loss. After I read this that evening I spent a little Quality time with our cat. You have my deepest sympathy.

Hi Richard, Paul, Chris (good to see you here!),Fernando, Steve, Brad, Jim, Bob & Julie, Monica, Pete and Lee , thanks for the great support, it's good to read :)

Hi Jim, yeah, the two youngest didn't really realize the concept of death yet (lucky chaps!) but Amélie had some difficulties with it. Wednesday evening she came out of bed and went to my wife crying. Some of her fellow classmates did understand her feelings but most didn't and that upset her as well. But you can't expect that from 8year olds or even sometimes from people who never had a pet I guess :)

Bob aka the StuGmeister & Julie, sorry to read that you had to go through the same, but good to read that you are taking care of a new member!

Lee: yeah, give the little critter a big hug and enjoy doing it indeed ^^

Cheers

Thanks Wouter

Watch out for return of the Stug. Just ordered the new miniart Stug 0! Need to finish the A first then start on the A 2nd production

Off to try to tempt the new miggie out of hiding lol

one of ours is a rescue.......i dont think she was abused, more neglected or mishandled........the rescue centre had even chistened her Heidi cos she always ran away and hid when ever any one walked past the pen,,,,,,and thats why we had her, to give her chance.......she spent the first two weeks hiding in the sofa, just coming out at night or when we wernt in to eat......we have had her 5 years now, she has just turned 6 and she has turned into a lovely kitty, still a scaredy cat at times but it makes me happy knowing she is having a safe loving life. they both get spoilt rotton

Thanks Wouter
I will. We rescued our cat he was dump on our county rd when he was a very small kitten just before Christmas 2013. He was very cold and started to get frost bite on the bridge of his nose. He’s a in side cat never been out side I promised him he would never feel the cold again.

What good people at present i am sitting on floor by the cabinet reading a book and talking softly to the newbie! Must be off my head, but like Felix before i WILL show him what love is all about. Might take months but so what worth every minute. All i can see is two large eyes!

Bob
Our cat is now really just showing love and affection he’s been with us 4yrs, last year was the first time I heard him purr. Don’t give up.

No chance of that Lee

My lovely Felix who sadly left 10 weeks ago was used as a drum by owners and was a wreck. It took about 6 months to get him to trust me but then we had 17 yrs together. Just put his tea down so will leave him to get stuck in
