No need for that sort of nonsense on a hot day, Kev!
It's good when these things get refreshed.

Here's mine right now.....

Ron don't let Jim R president the TIDY BENCH CLUB see this , I have had several attempts at gaining entry and have been refused. Looking at your I doubt you would get beyond the steps of the club.

Well, the storage area certainly is neat, John.
Workbenches are where the work happens, so can't stay neat forever (unless no work gets done).
Besides, I've read somewhere that creative people are generally not tidy.

Monica, I think I may use your paint rack as a pattern, since I'm in need of more than the single old refinished spice rack I am currently using (found it when we moved in to our house-glad I never threw it out).
Re-purposed lumber is something I've been using for many years for a lot of projects.
The saved money can be used for more enjoyable things (like more kits, tools, etc.).

Well John, that's quite organised.....
here's mine, showing why I asked about paint storage......

Paint spray booth is to the left out of the picture, and most other items are either behind the chair or on more shelves above the desk....there is actually only about three feet six inches from the desk to the rear wall...
Cheers
Tim

Good lord, a tidy bench - I'm lost for words.

Is that an original Matchbox Provost you’re building there?

However, I can’t really call that untidy — there seems to be hardly anything there that isn’t actually needed for building the model.
Hello Jakko,

It is indeed, a 1976 vintage. Fair point, it's not that untidy. I think I just about made it into the Untidy Bench Club, but only just.

Colin.
At this rate we will both be ousted, mind you I am making headway, I'm loosing tools, always a sign :nerd:.
John .

A right bloody mess I'd say!
I would be expecting nothing less from such a brilliant mind.
Spending time and mental energy "tidying up" can only detract from precious creativity time.

P.S. My work space is both pitiful and a total mess...:confounded:

Cheers...Jim
