Merlin's. Just today I was watching / listening to P & W R-2800 and Merlin's starting up (youtube) The Merlin is just so smooth in comparison.

Now started on the landing gear and I will only show one as the construction is the same for both.

More work done today got landing gear and one engine installed in one half of the engine bay plus I added a wash to the tyres.

Here we are as of step 141 both undercarriage bays have now fitted with a bit of jiggery-pokery and the flaps are also fitted one engine will be left uncovered and one covered.

Time for a bit more this time it's the under belly cannons and the bomb cradle all parts have been painted a now all together ready to install into the aircraft.
Just on moan about this kit the small pipes are so fragile that I have broken and mended quite a few.

Here we are as of step 193 in the book and this is last night's work.
The weapons bay has been fitted out and the doors attached and also got the undercarriage doors fitted all of which had lots of ejector pin marks but I didn't bother to fill them as they won't be seenView attachment 295175View attachment 295176View attachment 295177

Just did a catch-up, cracking stuff. Always fancied one of these, have built the Typhoon in 1:24, but this would look good next to it on the shelf.
