Always liked he look of the Japanese battlewagons....nice to see the indestructible diamond getting a look in as well.....great names on Japanese ships.....
 
Nice one Pete, and you even get the wood decking. Looking forward to seeing this.

Hi shipmates I've made a start on this one, I've never done a Toon ship before so something new for me.

Added hull spacers/ supports.


Drilled out some of the port holes, small little bugger that's for sure. Hull and deck side fitted.



Lower conning tower.
Before


Drilled out port hole's

Fitted 4x propellor blades and the 2x rudder blades.



Made up the 4 main turrets.


Made up the conning tower.


Fitted deck side guns.


Dry fit only

Well Pete this is given me a right giggle its really weird to see a battle ship sqeezed up like this an with quite a lot of detail but you doin a fine job good work

Hi, I have finished the build stage on this one will put to one side for a while.


Assembled 2x chimney's one with search lights, mast.

2x radar towers, 2x life boats, 2x 25 mm Type 96 Antiaircraft autocannon .



Fitted assembled parts on to super structer.


Assembled the A/A guns

Fitted A/A in place.

Pete this is crazy an just lookin at it I want to have good belly laugh this ship is givin me quite a lot of fun as all these toon models have. As I like to look at them when im a bit down or put a cartoon on the telly an it cheers me up no end all good fun great work an it amazes me how much detail has been cramed in on the ship

Hi Chris I'm pleased to be of service, I've got two more of these belly busters to build so I would batten don the hatches and hang on :tears-of-joy::tears-of-joy::tears-of-joy:.

Update.

Hi got the H/S out and got all the painting done, just a light wash to highlight the nooks and crannies.

I have removed the four propellor blades and the two rudder blades for it to lay better in the gel.
