Work area of cave. My age is evident by incense burner & scented candle assortment atop left speaker tower. Date/time stamp seems to be a default as I don't update it.

Paul, it appears you have moved into the mom cave lock stock and barrel. A lot warmer in the winter I'd imagine. Is the snow gone yet? After that last blast of a couple weeks ago I was wondering if you got as hammered as they did in other parts of the Midwest and upper great lakes areas. Rick H.

Your work area looks really busy Moses Paul! But then again, if it was clean, people would talk......Watched you on TV again yesterday for the 20th time...……..Sorry, couldn't resist my friend.

I hope spring has sprung in Ohio and you are not too busy outside.

Rick, I have indeed. Has a register for A/C & heat so is more comfy, but poor lighting for close work. The weather is so crazy I no longer pay attention as I live on high ground and don't usually have to shovel more than 4" of snow at a time. Allen, been workin my narrow white butt off. Friend from work brought his just finished 87 Frankenvette to work & smoked'em all the way past the dealership. Brought a tear to my eye & a thought for my garage queen.

If we had 4" of snow the world here would end as we know it :flushed:.Paul.

and of course Paul,
minitnkr

now here is a bench to be well and truly proud of. I have seen this so full it is a world class bench, and in a class of its own.

Next contender who passes all section for entry is
boatman.
Splendid effort Chris, and welcome .

Simon T , now here is a mystery, how he manages to cut, saw and glue whilst keeping awake while sitting is amazing.
We don't have a class for knees as of yet.

Also the use of a table must mean that the user is tidy, as they have to clear everything away to continue living.
So again these poor souls are not eligible to apply for membership of the Untidy Bench Club, but may send a signed photo of their table to Jim. Who no doubt might lets some of you in.

J Race .
President of the UNTIDY BENCH CLUB.

Thanks John, I'm honoured to be considered. I'm sure you've heard the saying "tidy desk, tidy mind". If that is the case then I'm sure to find my way to a full membership sooner or later :upside:

By the way, that's actually an air hose used as an up and over condensing loop for my big compressor, but SWA cleats were the perfect size for fixing it in place!

I'm working on membership of the untidy bench club but this cave has only been up and running for 2 and a half years so it's still a bit bare....

Mind you I have paid my dues of cold garage and cramped cupboards and space on the dining table. And the great thing is that the boss doesn't like climbing ladders.......

Ooh, that's given me an idea about converting my loft space into a hobby room. Got to be better than a shed in the back garden.

I have always liked a work place in the loft but I'd be cooked or roasted with the heat beating down on the tiles and coming from the bottom up. In the tropics the space between the ceiling and roof tiles is where the days heat is accumulated.

Cheers,
Richard

It's cold in the winter but I have an oil-filled radiator plugged into a smart socket, so I turn the heating on from my phone when I leave work :thumb2: and it's nice and comfortable when I get home.
In this country hot is rarely unbearable so the summer is not a problem. I don't have a window, though, which would help with a spray booth (oh and,er, natural light, maybe...)
