To all my American friends, a day to be truly thankful for living in the Greatest, freest and strongest Nation on this God's green Earth!
A Nation that seeks only peace, love, prosperity and freedom for the rest of our worldly neighbors and has sacrificed much to that noble end.
With Christmas on the horizon, may we all reflect on our good fortunes and the love of our families and friends.

This Thanksgiving will be no different than any other at the homestead, oodles of family with Grandma and Grumpa at the head of the table (and doing most of the cooking).
Turkey and venison will be the main meat courses with at least a dozen different side dishes and deserts.

We also help out some of our isolated and lonely elders in our area by delivering several full blown dinners to them and try to spend a bit of time with them and make sure they are
provided for with some of the basic necessities for heat and food.
These folks can never be convinced to return to civilization no matter how their children and families try to convince them to do so, so we kinda keep an eye on them
and help them when ever we can.

That is the American Spirit, one for all and all for one, almost a necessity in these parts, and we would not have it any other way.

Cheers to all! Jim.

Happy Thanksgiving buddy.
Happy Thanksgiving from all your friends from the other side of the pond. Have a wonderful day and all the best to the family
Thank you so much Gentlemen, all the best wishes from the clan for you and your families this Holiday season
and I am truly sorry for getting personal and wishing "a Happy" as it does tend to bring out the ugly in some.

I shall refrain in future from such expressions for the good of the site, and shall now get my dose of "I told you so" from the Missus.

Love to all...Jim

Hi Jim
And all the best to you and yours. My son married an American and lives in Michigan now. A couple of years ago he was over here on Thanksgiving and did a Thankgiving Meal for us all. Very enjoyable - he said only the football was missing :tongue-out3:
