Hi got the lower hull sides built up added a few missing details or tried to improve on some of the existing ones.
Front and rear suspension arms are sprung, have to agree with Mr T not much point if it's going to be a static model.
Mockup only will paint wheels before it fit them.
Thank you for dropping in in and having a look.
Pete.

Already smashing it with the extra detail I see Pete. :thumb2:

Front seat please Pete. Tea or coffee would be nice as I've just made some gluten free short bread biscuits and have them with me.

I’ll take some tea but those biscuits you can keep. You might want to keep them to yourself John they sound kinda sickening we want to stay focused on Pete’s build not a upset stomach

Hi Andy you can't beat a good old Tamiya kit, hope I can do a good as job as you have but it won't be anything special that's for sure had a slight accident with my glasses broke one of the arms off so the old eyesight isn't that good so building by braille and smell :smiling5: .
Pete.

Pete

Been there more than once as a long time wearer glasses. I feel your pain!!!

Hi Bob a question all the pictures are of "B" versions.
My kit with hole

The same as my kit.

This one is blank off.

This one has a viewing port and two hinges at the bottom.

Have you come across these before, the big hole is a great invitation for a grenade so would it be wrong to make the either of these two options.

Hi build is on hold have lost metal barrel and two small poly caps are missing from kit.

Not having a good day.

Hi Pete

Its just a cover to stop dirt, dust getting inside when not in combat, it was a known shot trap so the next ausf the C had a redesigned front removing the channel and siteing hole

Hi Bob another question if I may, on thehe glacis plate there are six holes on the guard of the Fahrersehklappe, on some "B" version models I've seen people add these holes is this right or wrong.
Pete.

Hi Pete

No holes, StuG model A -F had basic 50mm armour, later models had extra welded armour. Later again models has bolted on armour plate with different numbers of studs/bolts

Hi got a bit more done.
Fitted top to the lower hull, drilled out hinges on inspection covers.

Made shock absorbers for gun mount, added four bolts to the rear of the gun shield.

Added dirt cover to the end of the shot trap.

Made up slotted countersunk screws for the side of the casement, fitted lifting rings, side viewing port and two grab handles.

Worked out position of rear stowage mockup only.

Mark on the roof is where I spilt glue :rolling: ..
Thank you for looking in hope you like it.
Pete
