Good on yer Ralph! Day 1 sorted, but what's with this fishin' lark? Sittin' there all day just watchin' the water go by ain't gonna help. Spend your first savings in John's shop and keep yourself busy at the bench.
Don’t confuse carp fishing (mainly sitting around doing nothing) with genuine angling, which is mainly an appreciation for the natural world.

Cheers Jim.Morning Ralph
Day 1 is over, day 2 starts. Already you are richer and have something to celebrate. Your body is already starting to heal.
Sure you feel crap but being a non smoker is the goal and that fishing gear.
Jim
Cheers Tim.Hiya Ralph
day two of the rest of your life starts today. Remember, haddock, salmon, kippers and bloaters are best smoked, but Cigarettes are best unsmoked....stick in there buddy, we’re all on your side.
I agree with everything that has been said, especially the STINKING! I could not believe it when it dawned on me how bad l must have smelled.
Cheers Andy.Great to hear you're on day 2 already Ralph. Good on you!
Cheers Neil.Well done Ralph, stay strong. I am astonished at the cost of smoking nowadays, so it won't be long before you can get that rod. I agree with everything that has been said, especially the STINKING! I could not believe it when it dawned on me how bad l must have smelled.
Good luck with today
Neil
If you don't mind a small correction - you don't ever want one, keep telling yourself that.Cheers Andy.
I do not even want a fag at the moment.
I do not ever want one again. If you don't mind a small correction - you don't ever want one, keep telling yourself that.
And remember, you aren't really giving up smoking, as that makes it sound like you are denying yourself something. In fact you are freeing yourself from its grip, and moving forward to a better place :thumb2:
THATS what we find Andy the smell will linger on your body an clothesI work with a lot of smokers and am surprised how much they smell when returning from a fag break. Maybe I'm extra sensitive being an ex, but it lingers on their clothes for ages.
It certaintly is Pete an more dosh to spend on my tigerGood, being a non-smoker, isn't it? :thumb2:
