Not expensive and to use for fine work, has a .2mm needle, also you can alter the needles movement and a removable cup.

What exactly is a lacquer compared to enamels or acrylics? Are they specifically for air brushes?
It’s a different type of paint, but it’s not as simple as “not enamel or acrylic” because lacquers can be acrylic-based as well as solvent-based. I don’t know the details and I’ve never used them, however — this is about as far as my knowledge of them stretches. I’m sure others here will be able to tell you more.

I have found lacqure to be easy to thin and use. Sprays and covers very well. Had no problems at all, i use liquid reamer spray to clean the airbrush.

Negatives, it stinks and a mask is vital, not a huge choice of colours.

To compliment my new compressor. Sparmax Silver Bullet - MAC
P1060300.JPG
Combined MAC valve and filter/water trap. I know the new compressor has a water trap but on Bob's (Mr Bowcat) suggestion I decided to double up. I have always relied on a MAC valve to finely tune the air pressure. This fits neatly on the end of the hose and my quick release attaches to the other end. Really feels well made.

Newly acquired delivered today. twp 251/21s & a kettenkrad. Let the hacking & slashing begin.

All from SmallScaleHobbies. Trains' mechs added rebar wire to the trailer floor to lesson slipnfall hazard under duress from shell casings. Luckily have extra interiors from other conversions so making the /21s into /1s is easypeasey. I like the extra protection for /11s so use /21 uppers on them. PaulE

A bit of an indulgence but should prove useful for scratch building. Plus I've saved about £300 in fuel by not going to work while still getting full pay, so I can justify splashing out a bit :smiling5:

Up to now I've been trying to prop things up and keep them square with blocks of wood, which works to an extent, but I wanted something more weighty. I've seen a few of you using 123 blocks, and these are their metric equivalent. I've seen similar ones a bit cheaper on eBay & Wish, but these are from a UK engineering tools firm and seem very well made.

Sized in 10 x 20 x 40mm, 15 x 30 x 60mm and 20 x 40 x 80mm, about half of the holes are threaded too so I can bolt them together If needed.

More importantly Andy, to bolt them down so they don't move while using them to support your builds. I have a pair also and find them to be very useful......enjoy. Rick H.

Another super fast delivery from John, SMS - excellent service as usual. :thumb2: :thumb2::thumb2::thumb2:

First time i have purchased a Das Werk kit, have seen one or two whilst "surfing" for other things,
but was intrigued when the - Experimental 2cm Salvenmashinenkanone appeared.
First look appears to be excellent kit, nice clean sprue's (4 of) with some very intricate small parts with very small attachment points. Single photo etch sprue. Lovely A5 size detailed colour instruction book. ;):thumb2::thumb2:

Trying the Mr Primer Surfacer on some figures - and - a pot of aircraft interior green.

Paul.

Although my cheap aibrush's are giving good service after three years it's time to retire them in favour of something a bit better.20200526_134625.jpg

Hi Chris, hows Jen

Because its lacquer you cannot use stuff to clean archylic, the reamer just blasts the paint off, but it sure smells!

A good few pounda cheaper, and being a StuG i could not resist!!
