On the Takom Facebook page - 'available July'

On the Zvezda Facebook page, boxart fot their upcoming 1/35 T34/76 Factory 183 with 'Gaika' turret

Never heard of Gaika - is it a purely Russian designation?
Dave
One of the few major design changes permitted in late 1941 was the development of a new turret, nicknamed the 'Gaika' (hex nut) because of its shape.

The problem with Russian vehicles is that most of the official and unofficial designations have only become available over the past 30 years or so, by which time all kinds of alternatives, many based on German intelligence terms (“T34/76B”, “T34/85” etc.*) had already become commonplace and therefore, very hard to shift.

* There is no such thing as a T34/76 or T34/85, for example — the proper designation for the 76 mm armed variants is just T-34 (with a hyphen), the 85 mm variant is the T-34-85, and so on.

Heh … I post the above and Gary’s message shows up as well with the exact same quote :)

Trumpeter HMS Calcutta in 1/350 - interesting model, this, she was lost in 1941 during the evacuation from Crete, but her sister ships were converted to AA ships, which should give a bit of variation

On the ICM Facebook page - boxart for their 3 x 3-axle truck boxing
ICM 3 3axle trucks.jpg
Unless they're at a substantial discount over individual purchases, I'm at a loss to see who this is aimed at! I would think the percentage of modellers who will need to make 3 of these large trucks will be very small ( or maybe it's a sharing thing? )

This must be a new company - it seems to specialise in 1/32 Models https://www.jetmads.com/ Judging by the boxes, these are not going to be cheap.............

I have the WOT 8 British GP Lorry in my stash, and that looks very good - if the launcher is of the same quality, then this will be a stunner!!

A U2 I feel would be nice but will take a lot off space to present! Even at 1:48 I’m guessing the wingspan will exceed half a meter or more. I think the actual planes have a wingspan of 30m + (too lazy to look).
T

31 metres, so in 1:48 that would make it 65 cm. It would also be 40 cm long.

Just saw on another site that Das Werk are doing another StuG G but a 2 in 1 allowing either the 7.5 cm Ausf or the howitzer StuH. Sadly no mention of any interior.

I have no idea how to post the info??

Hi Rich

I hope the kit is not just a Dragon one? As the StuH was only built by Alkett you can use both types of mantlet. The kit should have both and the option to not use a muzzle?

I look for more info

Panzer Meister 36 has already E-mailed to chase an update on a Stug with interior

Hi Steve

Really surprised / annoyed that with Dragon adding the front interior in the neo kits they would have added the engine bay as well:angry:

Don't know if I'm posting in the right place or if it's been seen before but this is WOW!
The explosion from the barrel is just incredible.
