Dave. Your tearing this one up great progress I’ve thought about getting this one done day so I’ll be seated between PaulE and Rick the mini mites
Further bits added to the chassis - just a few more, and I think I can crank up the compressor & get a primer coat on.
I think this is the most complicated chassis ( in 1/35 ) I've come across. You can turn the front hubs at the moment, but as soon as you put the steering arm on, then that will lock them into position - I'm not a fan of 'working' assembles anyway, and as soon as you get a coat of paint on it will seize anyway...................

Plenty going on in that chassis Dave.
Not sure about the colour of the plastic though, I'd be wanting to take a bite out of it!

Good to see you back at the bench Dave...kindly put me next to John R. The chassis is nearly completed for a start...yeah I am one who also gives the engine a miss if it's not seen.

Well done Dave. Something I noticed when working on MB vehicles besides basic complexity, they never put one fastener where six will do. PaulE

Haven't actually had any benchtime, but I was thinking that I'm enjoying this model so much, that I might try another Maultier..................

Still have a few bits to add! - Control linkages for track airbrakes, tensioning gear for the rear idler track adjustment - all very small bits that are tweezer only...........................

The final chassis bits were added ( much holding of breath & biting of tongue ). I was able to crank up the compressor & give the chassis an overall coat of MiG Dunkelgelb primer
After seeing to the seams on the tilt ( PPP & wet sanding ) I gave it a coat of Vallejo Black Primer
I also assembled the wheels, primed in dunkelgelb, and primed the track links with black.
Next, I'm going to give a basecoat of dark yellow to the chassis, then detail paint those parts that will be difficult to reach further on in the assembly. I'll give the tilt a basecoat of grey-green, as well

First thing sprayed basecoat on chassis & load bed - sprayed the tilt grey-green.
I was intending to start spraying a bit of camo on the load bed & road wheels, but as the temperature has hit 25C, I'll leave that until tomorrow morning...............
Did a bit of detail painting instead engine - grey & exhaust pipe - rust
If it was an overall colour to be sprayed, no problem, but as it's going to be thin bands, with the 0.2mm nozzle, then it needs to be a bit cooler - and it's not comfortable at the bench, as well

Dave, that builds into a nice kit, i used it in my stuck in the mud build.

the more modern Zvezda kits are on a par with other modern manufacturers. They are rather complicated models, and sometimes Zvezda attempt to reproduce parts to scale, which are too fragile ( for example the loading gear on the MSTA-S ). They are just beginning to use slide moulds. They don't provide PE, but they are generally detailed enough without them. I've made the MSTA-S, T-35, GAZ Tiger with Kornet, Sd.Kfz 251/3, BMPT Terminator, T-90, T-14 Armata all in 1/35. In the Stash I have the T-90MS, T34/85 & the Pantsir, so you can see I'm a bit of a fan!
Their 1/48 aircraft are also very good.................
I must stress, though that these are all more modern models, Zvezda still sell 'old mould' kits, that can be crude, and inaccurate. A search on Scalemates will highlight the later models
