Scale Model Shop

Latest Acquisitions (2020)

did a different version of the ZSL a while back and really enjoyed it and fancied doing something else PLA............these were on Creatives websites weekly bargains list and a friend gets discount from them so it would have been rude not to......both for less than £16 total!

Good looking kits indeed there Paul,
One thing you can say about HobbyBoss is their attention to detail....... "Length 192.19" MM and "Width 81.3" MM!!!!!!!! Now that IS accuracy from a manufacturer !! :thumb2::tears-of-joy:
Andy

Well Chaps,Despite being currently immersed in all things "Scratchy",i still can`t help myself adding to the stash!:flushed:
I must admit that i`m leaning more to the more unusual, but still WW2 era, type AFVs these days,(Well,"more unusual"to me anyway!),and with that in mind i was tempted by these three kits on Evilbay, not exactly a "Bundle",but all from the same seller,so a combined postage rate of just £4!!.....
IMG20201127154142.jpg
Yeah,I know what you`re thinking...."But they`re MIRAGE kits!!!:poop:
Hmmm,i like the subjects and did read several reviews before i took the plunge,(At a VERY reasonable price i may add!:thumb2:),whilst i agree with the comments i read about the Tracks,i think the actual kits themselves aren`t that bad,and with some imagination, cunning and TLC they can turn out to be a respectable finish....... that`s my humble opinion anyway, but we shall see!!;)
Cheers for now,
Andy

Very nice Tim,
I like these little Zvezda Kits, although i must admit that the scale is beyond my "skills"!!! :dizzy:
That Gun looks very neat,(Or should i say "Those Guns!!),i for one would like to see at least one of them built up with your talents in this teeny weeny world!:thumb2:
The crew figures do indeed look great poses..... how are their "crispness"?!
Andy
Hi Andy
The crew are pretty good, but the guns are not quite as refined as the S model versions. Unfortunately there are only two per gun. I’m using one crew for the cobbled together version. The later modified version is getting PSC crew from the skdfz 250 box. I may make up a gun, but it’ll be later as I have other projects to get through first....

Not actually sure what the left hand model is? Is it the trailer with the oildrum, or is it the one their knocking the petrol out of?

It can be either Tim.....
.... It caught me out actually,as i thought it was the one with the oil Drum, but you do get the bits to make up the fuel bowser version instead,(also the extras you can see in the boxart - buckets, jerry cans etc).I must admit,to me,it`d make more sense for them to have just chucked in a few extra wheels, 2 bodysides, and track, then you could make BOTH! :rolling:
After all,the kit costs Flumpence so it would`ve made sense to me as they then could`ve added a couple of quid and it`d still have been good value!
Andy

Interesting, it’s a similar idea to the one found attached to the little Renault I’m blogging at the moment....

Well my Ju87 G2 was supposed to be my last purchase of the year. But......

A lovely 1/32 Revell Ju88 A4 kit came up on evilbay for a really good price with a load of unopened Tamiya paints in it. Sent an offer in and it was accepted for a little under the BiN price. Well chuffed.

Defo buying over for this year now. Totally skint

Fantastic Post there Alan..... made both myself and Rach laugh!! :tears-of-joy:
You`ve certainly gone out with a bang for 2020!!...... But i`m sure the finances will very soon recover and 2021 will see you building up the stash all over again!!:thumb2:
Andy

Not sure they'll recover for a long while yet. The money was supposed to be for an electric chainsaw lol. SWMBO will not be impressed

It does this! It’s basically a laser pointer that allows you to check line of sight when playing.....great value for three quid because it is like war gaming VAR....

Andy I like the translation on the review.
"The model, apart from one side of the axle not completely cast, at first glance has no major disadvantages. A bit of polishing and the effect for the price of about 20 gold will be quite nice." Twenty gold!!!!!!
Scan the instructions, copy and paste and put into Google Translate !

Blimey Gary..... There you are Bang on the Ball again!!:thumb2:
Thanks for that, the Speal on the front of the Instruction sheet isn`t translated into English, just Polish, likewise the instructions themselves..... but that`s of little consequence,as the pics alone are all you need:hugging-face:,
Andy

Yea, I know, but this bundle came up on evilbay and I couldn't resist. I have been a good boy for a while now though. Anyway.

IMG_2269.JPG

The tram was the reason I went for it, but these were included in it too,

IMG_2271.JPG

Oh well, for €40,49 delivered to the door, I really can't complain. That's less than the price of the tram itself and I can pop the other 3 back in evilbay because I have them in the stash already. I have a wild idea for the tram, down the road of course....Perhaps, when I'm 70, or maybe 69...........Do I hear 68????????

Prost
Allen

Counting backwards will not make you younger..........it just means you are confused :tongue-out3: :tongue-out: :tongue-out:.....comes with age......now where did I put that coat?

Hi all

So the first item below arrived today for my North Africa vignette. I was looking for some mesh for the the exhaust when I stumbled across this - my first major set of PE.

And after recommendations and advice from Laurie (thanks very much Laurie), I also invested this heat gun and some low flux solder - I hedged my bets never having used it before and got both paste and liquid.

ATB

Andrew
