Any news on the chipping using the VMS Bob ?
Evening John

Wait for it!!!

You have to leave the varnish to dry for 2 to 3 days, VMS have some excellent how to use videos and Chris the owner is very helpful. So the plan is some time Monday!

That's a long time to wait Bob, in the meantime I shall go and count up my supplies of 4 BO !

With the amount you must have, if you use your fingers to count, better take your socks off as well !!

Well Mr Race

Painted the chip and nick all over 2 skirts, waited 15 mins and had a bash, well the paint peeled off lol!

2nd go, painted, waited 30 mins better but a lot still peeled.

Contacted Chris at VMS and looks like should have left varnish for 3 to 5 days to cure!!

3rd go, painted again left for hour plus used hair dryer, added water and gently rubbed with soft brush, this is the result

Looks good to me too. Nicely restrained. Not something I’ve had a lot of success with, but then again, only tried it a couple of times with cheap hair spray.

Hi Tim

It seems a good system, you remove how much you need, if it goes pearshaped just brush it off and start again, best thing is the how to vids and help from Chris.

Looks like you are having fun there Bob :thumb2:
Getting these products to work can get a bit ’technical’ sometimes :flushed:

Been playing with chipping fluids myself and did a test to see which one I like the most. My brother phoned right in the middle of the ‘test’ and I somehow managed to mix my samples up :tired:

As it happened, I didn’t like either results :smiling5:

Hi Si, never works as it does on the videos lol

Yep, practice and more of the same.

Chipping - I am still at the dabbing with a sponge effect.
