Thanks Tim for the great advice!! Sunbathing, good idea, perhaps he's thinking why are we going round in circlesLooking good Bob. You’ll have to put a sunbathing sailor on the top to give it scale!
Don’t stress about the seams.....there are a couple of tricks that help.....
First trick, use the “wet or dry” on a solid backing. If you keep it flat it wont wear hollows in as you work.
Second trick, don’t sand directly along the seam or at ninety degrees to the seam. Both of those approaches will give you flat spots. Sand at 45 degrees to the seam and you will minimise the problem....basically treat it like an aircraft fuselage.

Right been to decorator supplies, got a 12 inch roller and a large bucket of battleship grey emulsion!Bobs gone to look at how much paint he has Chris, this is going to take a lot.:smiling2:
