Got 'Fadeout' in the 'library', along with a 'few' others (including well out of print 'classics' like E.E. Smith's 'Lensman'/'Family d'lambert/'Skylark' series, most of Heinlein, Asimov, Philippe Jose Farmer 'Riverboat' and 'Worlds' series, more modern is McCaffery) - the other two books that I find are close to 'Fadeout' are 'Childhoods End' Arthur C Clarke and 'Earth Abides' (never can remember who wrote it!)
Sorry, bit of a Sci-Fi junkie.

Possibly - though they're a little bit of a 'selection' from the shelves - bookshelves are 6 shelves all 8 feet long and some of those are 'doubled up' to take the Terry Pratchett and McCaffery books (bottom shelf is mostly reference though) that's just 'my' books - son and wife have their own collections!

I don't know why you're looking for your books on Amazon Tim, but it's absolutely the wrong place (at those prices, it's no wonder Jeff Bezos is a multi-billionaire!)! Try here:

Never was able to get on with Farmer or McCaffrey but like you, I've got most of Asimovs, and all of Heinlein and Doc Smith (I remember having the Lensman books when I was at school but have no idea what happened to them; but I went to a charity shop in Worcester a few years ago and got all seven books in the series for about £3!)

Earth abides is by George R Stewart. Not read it but it's going on my buy list later.

Your library sounds pretty good - most of the people I've met think that more than one book is a library!

Mine's a bit bigger with wall to wall, floor to ceiling shelves on one wall in my lounge (about 80ft) and another set of shelves in my bedroom (only about 20ft but the books are stacked flat) - one of the perks of living alone. I can put up as many shelves as I like. Got to be knocking on for 2000 books in total and I've read every single one.

You can't spend every spare minute of your life playing with bits of plastic!

One problem you may have if you ever stop having to take it, is … shaking hands. I took propranolol for about seven years for something else entirely, and when I stopped, I couldn’t do any modelling for a number of days because of my hands shaking just enough that it was almost impossible to do any fine work.

Oh, and for good SF: The Expanse, both the novels (by James S.A. Corey) and the TV series (on Amazon Prime).

Propanolol is one of two tablets I'll be prescribed - can't remember the name of the other one. I'm fairly sure that when I start taking them, it will be for good as the doc said it's not a cure for the problem - they just hide the symptoms of the underlying problem.

I've got your books on my buy list and I'll be having a look for them later.

Yes, 7 in the original series, but there were at least a couple of 'extras' relating to at least 2 of the main characters, but not sure if they were written by Smith or not.
