Hi all, I was given a freebie, cracked it open as you do to check the contents, a quick flick through the destructions, wow this looks great, oh wait a minute...! I think Academy need to check what and how they print or sack the QS bods for not doing their job properly!
I wonder how many went through without anyone noticing?! :thinking: :tears-of-joy:

Academy has definitely upped it's game both in instructions and decal sheets in recent times.

I like their kits, frustrating sometimes but I think they represent what it is supposed to be pretty well

I have built two Academy kits, their 1/48 F4 Phantom and the 1/48 Sabre. I found them pretty decent kits, good fit, well engineered and they had no issues at all. For me Sabre was a departure from my ‘norm’ and was just a test build to try out a NMF finish and the build impressed me so much I could not resist their Phantom.

I've haven't built too many of the wings things from Academy but what I have, I thought they were ok. For me Academy are good, ok, there maybe a few inaccuracies, the decals and instructions get a raise of the eyebrow but I like them... every kit I've built has had something wrong, under/ over sized, something is missing from detail... rivets, not enough, too many... but doesn't every manufacturer?! :smiling:
