It was great to meet everyone, and a good show to boot. It would be brilliant if you can make an event one day Tim. There's another IPMS event at St Ives on the 26th Sep.

Greetings, yes a great show and company.
Having had a sleep after getting home I'm coming round .
Will post the photos I took later.

We used to have a member from down that way called Fenlander (Graham). Not seen him about for years though.

Looks like you guys had a great time.

John
Paul , looks like 2 coffees then :smiling2:
Going to FB Andrew Taylor and see If he is free.
John, I did look on Facebook to add you, but there's no button to add friend on your profile! I assumed you want to keep the rabble away! :tears-of-joy:

If anyone wants to add me feel free. I don't post much modelling stuff as yet, but the show did get a mention along with #tankfest ;)

From left Dale JR Ben (Yambam ) Paul (Scottie ) Jim.

We met up fairly quickly , then had a wander around the show. Many clubs there and quite a few traders.

Starting with some bikes. this first one was a stunning model .

Some cars and trucks on display. Think they must have been 1/10 or 1/12 scale.

2021_36.jpg

Then a large amount of ships, seems they are the in thing , so Dave and Bob ( hope your feeling better. ) should enjoy these.

Hopefully Dale will post along with Chris. It was great to put a face to a name and to catch up with Paul and Ben. A thoroughly nice day out.

Thoroughly enjoyed it too, and looking forward to seeing you again next week. I'll try to load some pictures later. i may give the Flickr thing a go, as I have forty to add, mostly overall shots of table displays.
On a separate note can I ask for your help to identify this glorious machine please? I'm told it's a Russian tank, so asking the expert :)

Thanks for posting the photos mate. Some great builds there. Out of the 5 Amigos in the first picture which won the Best Looking In Show? :smiling5: :smiling5: ;) :thumb2:

I believe the awards were as follows. Best pyromaniac - JR. Best presentation - Paul. Best effort - Chris. Best youngster - Ben. Best newcomer - moi. Best looking were actually behind the camera aka Jen and Katy. It was a cracking turn out by all involved. Catering by Lip Smackers. make up and hair by wind and rain. etc... :tears-of-joy:

Thanks for taking the time to snap and post up the pictures John. Nice to see a few bikes too. I spy a GPz900 next to the immaculate Norton. Can't help thinking that the ZX12R (blue one) looks a bit out of proportion though. I'd be disappointed if it was mine. I had the dubious pleasure of replacing a cam cover seal on one of those a few weeks ago and the chassis design makes that job particularly challenging.

Nick
