Even though I'm laid up - I can still smell out a good deal..........................
I'd been following these on ebay - but all were going for more than I wanted to pay ( surprise, surprise ), so I did a trawl on retail sites & BINGO! - it wasn't there a couple of days ago.
This was £21.95 delivered from Amazon, into my hands 10 minutes ago! Not normally a place where models are cheap, but it just pays to look at any sites! :smiling:

Built this kit. Needs a bit of work but nothing very challenging. And it is a big bird when put together. I have two more in the stash.

I needed paint (see bottom of the picture) for a couple of models, including my LWS, and as I still have the F-107 that I want to build as an in-service example, I decided it would be simpler and cheaper to buy an F-105 for its decals than to track down a set of decals for that … Also some Sherman wheels because I ran out of the solid type recently, and some set of ammo boxes that will no doubt come in handy at various points

Part of it was that sets of decals with F-105 markings seem to be almost impossible to find, but even if you do find them, a set might end up costing about as much as I paid for this kit in the first place and leave me with plenty more decals I’d never use because even if I would buy an F-105 kit afterward, it would come with decals anyway too So, this gives me both decals to use on the what-if F-107 and an F-105 to be built as well …

I've been looking at these, ever since they were released last year. The original Airfix model was changing hands at rich collectors prices & the new AZ model never seemed to dip below the £20 mark. After nearly a year of lurking on ebay, I got this..............
